Christmas Edition

The family got a Wii for Christmas. Cesar and i were grateful that the kids were so entertained by it that we could take an afternoon nap. When we woke up, we said it was time to start cleaning up. They griped a little, and we reminded them that they'd have fun for hours. Elizabeth, "Yeah, but we fought most of the time!"

We told the kids to go clean their rooms because Munka is coming tomorrow. Daniel came back down about 5 minutes later and said, "I'm done!" We expressed surprise that he had done it so quickly. Then Cesar said, "OK, I'm gonna go look at it!" Daniel said, "Oh wait!" and ran back upstairs. He still hasn't come down. LOL! I guess it wasn't ACTUALLY clean after all.

Overheard

Rebecca: Don't blame me! Blame the air!

Elizabeth: These potatoes rock my mouth!

Rebecca: I need a husband!

Affirmation

Cesar asked Daniel why he was head-butting him. Elizabeth piped up, "Maybe it's because you're not parenting right!"

Reading to the Cat

I'm not sure how it came up, but someone suggested that Zebbie needed to be read to. Cesar suggested Elizabeth was the one who should read to him.

She said, "Oh, I can read to him, all right! I can read to him through my MIND!!"

Things Men Hate

(Betcha didn't know this one!)

We were playing Whoonu today as a family. You have to pick from your hand of cards what you think the "Whozit" would like the best. And then the Whozit ranks the cards from all the members based on what he/she likes best.

Cesar was the Whozit. Elizabeth said, "Oh, not this one!!! It's too girly."

So I'm thinking it's something like dolls or Barbies, or something, right?

Nope. It was "bikinis." She said, "Men hate bikinis." Whoonu??

(When I told Cesar, he said, "Yeah, men hate bikinis. We want them OFF!!")

Just like Munka

My mom (Munka) never wins at games, or so she claims. Seriously, she wins almost every game, and then acts surprised that she wins, and says, "I never win!" So I started jokingly mocking her in a Southern Scarlett O'Hara voice, "I do declare, I never win!"

Cesar just got off the phone with my Aunt Marty, who is my mom's older sister. When he got off the phone, I said, "Ah, she is just like my mom."

Daniel overheard and said, "Why? Does she say, <cue Southern accent> 'I never win!'?"

Daniel sure knows his Munka!
